Did Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth secretly wed in Australia?
Fresh from their shock reconciliation, reports suggest Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have secretly wed in Australia.
The Wrecking Ball singer (23) and Hunger Games actor (26) were together for four years before splitting in 2013. But they reconciled at the end of 2015 and now, a new report says they married over Christmas while Miley visited her beau in his native Sydney.
She rang in the New Year with the Hemsworths and according to Life & Style, it looks like the real reason she cancelled her LA concert to spend more time Down Under was to enjoy an impromptu honeymoon.
His parents Leonie and Craig and brothers Chris and Luke all attended, while his sister-in-law Elsa Pataky acting as the "unofficial" matron of honour.
The magazine quoted their source as saying the pair "have told close friends that they are married. It was a spur-of-the-moment. Now they both refer to each other as'"my wife' or 'my husband'."
Liam choked up as he began describing his love for Miley. Then Miley started crying, too."
While the ceremony isn't legally binding, L&S say they're keen to make it official in March.
In January, it was confirmed that they were engaged and "picking up right where they left off."
"Miley is beyond happy to be engaged to Liam again," a source revealed to People.
“It might seem sudden, but they have been very close for the past few months. They just wanted to keep their relationship out of the spotlight while they figured things out."
The source also revealed that the two are now more mature and are willing to make changes for the relationship to work.
“Liam never liked how exposed his life was with Miley.”
