Subtlety mightn't be David Walliams' strong suit.
The 43-year-old comedian and his wife, supermodel Lara Stone, have reportedly split after five years.
News of their trial separation was reported yesterday in The Sun, saying that Lara left the couple's London home in in recent days, taking their son and their dog Bert with her.
But the Britain's Got Talent star showed no signs of distress during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show, which was filmed on Monday and set to air on BBC tomorrow night.
Walliams features alongside singer Cheryl Fernandez Versini (and her new bob) and Jennifer Saunders on the Irishman's smash hit chat show.
During his appearance, he revealed that he once approached Louis Walsh, who was managing Girls Aloud in their early days, if any of the members would be interested in dating him.
"When Girls Aloud came along I met Louis Walsh and asked him if any of the girls were single and he said he would ask. I thought he would do that discreetly, but he called a meeting of all of them and asked, 'Do any of you want to go out with David Walliams?'
"It was a 'No!' And that was the end of that."
He was still wearing his wedding ring during the filming and was snapped yesterday still wearing the gold band.
The couple were last seen together at the December wedding of Elton John and David Furnish.
Less than a year ago, Dutch supermodel Lara told an interview how her life with comedian husband was blissful.
"We've just bought a house together and we've got this lovely baby and lovely dog, and everything is so nice," she said in the interview, which was published in July.
The couple met in March 2009 but Lara recalled how she wasn't too interested in pursuing a relationship at the time.
