Daniel O'Donnell has one very special fan cheering him on at Strictly tonight
Daniel O'Donnell can count his seven week old granddaughter Olivia amongst the fans cheering him on his first dance on Strictly Come Dancing tonight.
Daniel posted an adorable photo of him with Olivia to his official Facebook account with the caption, "Look who came to cheer granddad on in strictly this weekend. Daniel couldn't be happier having Olivia and the rest of the family in London this weekend."
Olivia was born to Majella O'Donnell's daughter Siobhan just last month and she's just one of numerous friends and family who have flown to London this week to support Daniel on his debut performance on the hit BBC show tonight.
He'll take to the dance floor with professional dancer Kristina Rihanoff to perform a waltz to Ruby Murray's 'When Irish Eyes Are Smiling'. Five other couples will also perform with nine more tomorrow.
Kristina is hoping his UK and Northern Ireland fans will get behind him as Irish fans cannot vote in the competition. Speaking to Independent.ie this week she said he's going to "surprise" viewers with his moves.
“I think Daniel is going to surprise a few people this weekend and he has already surprised me with the way he has worked and how far he has come in our first few weeks together,” she said.
“My impression is that people do not expect a whole lot from Daniel. He doesn’t have any background in dancing and is starting from fresh, but the enthusiasm and dedication he has shown so far has been so impressive.
“We have had a wonderful time together. He is a lovely person and a perfect student for me, which is all you can ask for when you are given a celebrity in Strictly.
