Courteney Cox: 'I've had all my fillers dissolved - they made me look fake'
Courtney Cox is going back to basics with her beauty regime.
The former Friends star (53) has used botox and fillers in the past, but said she now let her fillers dissolve after saying she grew unhappy with the way she looked and she was often criticised for her features in recent years.
"I’ve had all my fillers dissolved. I feel better because I look like myself," she told New Beauty magazine.
"I think that I now look more like the person that I was (before adjustments). I hope I do."
Cox admitted part of the problem was accepting that gravity would eventually take its toll as she got older, but she is trying embrace a more natural approach to the ageing process.
"Things are going to change. Everything's going to drop. I was trying to make it not drop, but that made me look fake," she added.
"The next thing you know, you're layered and layered. You have no idea because it's gradual until you go, 'Oh, s***, this doesn't look right.'"
"You need movement in your face, especially if you have thin skin like I do. Those aren’t wrinkles, they’re smile lines. I’ve had to learn to embrace movement and realize that fillers are not my friend."
Meanwhile, the Cougar Town actress said things are better than ever with her Irish other half Johnny McDaid, whom she briefly split with in 2015, and said the 13-year age gap between them isn't an issue.
"He's younger than me, and with any other guy that would be the hardest thing in the world, but looks are not that important to him or his family," she explained.
"External beauty isn't even on his radar. I used to worry about the age difference, but I don't think it matters. He appreciates beauty, but it's deeper than that. It's deeper for me too, but luckily I find him gorgeous and extremely sexy."
And things are going so well than she is open to having a baby with the 40-year-old rocker (she has a daughter Coco, 13, from her marriage to David Arquette).
"I would love to have a baby now. I mean, I could carry someone else's egg. I may be one of the older people doing it, but I would love to, with Johnny that is."
