CJ Stander and wife Jean Marie make for a stylish pair at Irish Rugby Awards
Irish rugby stars swapped their jerseys for tuxedos at the annual Zurich Irish Rugby Awards.
Conor Murray, Sean O'Brien, Tadhg Furlong, Jack McGrath and Robbie Henshaw, who were recently called up to the British & Irish Lions squad, stepped out in style - all decked out in Hugo Boss - for the annual ceremony on Wednesday night.
While most left their other halves at home, CJ Stander, who will also be part of the Lions tour this summer, was joined by his wife of four years, Jean-Marie, a former competitive swimmer turned lawyer, who stunned in a blush pink mini-dress.
The loved-up couple injected some extra glamour to the ceremony, which saw Munster and Ireland scrum-half Murray take home the top gong of Player of the Year, while Henshaw, Furlong and Stander also took home awards.
"It has been an incredible season and one that I have thoroughly enjoyed. We have had our challenges and some sad days along the way, but to have both Munster and Ireland performing at the highest level has been very satisfying," Murray said.
"Being recognised in this way by my peers is special – I just hope that I can continue to do my job in the important games that are to come."
