Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller says she and six-year-old twins are HIV free
Charlie Sheen's ex-wife Brooke Mueller has confirmed neither she nor the couple's twin sons have contracted the HIV virus.
Sheen announced he is HIV-positive during a candid TV interview with U.S. breakfast show Today on Tuesday, revealing he was diagnosed four years ago, when he was still legally married to the reality TV star.
Sheen told Today host Matt Lauer he is adamant it is "impossible" for him to have knowingly transmitted the disease to somebody else, and claimed he has told every partner he has ever been with before getting intimate, including two women he had unprotected sex with since his diagnosis.
Mueller, who divorced Sheen in May, 2011, insists she isn't one of the women.
Her spokesman Steve Honig tells WENN, "Brooke has been inundated with calls from friends and family. To put their minds at ease, Brooke can confirm that she and the boys are not HIV-positive."
According to Sheen, his six-year-old twins Max and Bob do not know about his condition.
Meanwhile, a source close to his second ex-wife Denise Richards has revealed the former Bond girl, who shares two daughters with the actor, has known about his health issues for years, and two ex-girlfriends, Natalie Kenly and Bree Olson, have also confirmed they didn't contract HIV from Sheen.
Former porn star Olson took to Twitter.com on Monday after news of Sheen's planned TV appearance broke, revealing she recorded herself "for half an hour being tested for HIV and getting the results", adding, "This is so stressful".
She previously addressed the rumours surrounding Sheen's HIV-positive diagnosis in a post on her website, writing, "There are speculations circling that one of my ex-boyfriends from years ago may have contracted the HIV virus. They are rumours and I know nothing more than anyone else.
"I, myself have been to my gynaecologist at least once a year since we split up and have always been tested across the board for everything and have came back clean across the board every time.
However, she has since hit back at Sheen's comments suggesting he made his condition clear to all of his lovers before getting intimate, although she claims they always used condoms.
She told U.S. shockjock Howard Stern on Tuesday, after his candid interview aired, "(He) never said anything. Ever. 'I'm clean,' he told me. 'I'm clean, I'm clean.'
