He may not have added to his hall of Major victories this year, but Rory McIlroy looks like a happy man.
The golfer was spotted outside the Westbury Hotel in Dublin this afternoon just a couple of weeks after his engagement to Erica Stoll (28).
McIlroy wore a casual grey jumper and blue jeans for his brief Christmas shopping trip in the capital.
The professional golfer (26) strolled down Grafton Street admiring the Christmas lights before popping into Brown Thomas.
He emerged with several bags from the upmarket department store including one from designer brand Chanel and fashion label Kooples.
He was later seen chatting amicably on his phone outside the five-star hotel.
The golfer's engagement to the Manager of Championship Volunteer Operations at the PGA of America Stoll came to light when she turned up at a glitzy Belfast function wearing the diamond ring.
McIlroy recently spoke about his romance saying: "Erica has been around quite a lot, at tournaments this year, but we have really just tried to keep it low-key.
"She is a very low-key person, not the kind to broadcast stuff, but that side of my life is really, really good now. We are excited, our parents are excited, so it is a really happy time.
"For me, Erica brings such a level of normality to everything. She has a calming presence, a sereneness and that's not just on me; it is noticeable in any company.
"She has been a great influence on me and has given such a great balance to my life; between who I am when people see me out here and who I am at home."
