Catherine Zeta Jones introduces mini-me daughter Carys (14) at NYFW
There are perks that come with having A-list parents.
Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas' daughter Carys (14) enjoyed the benefits of celebrity, taking in first fashion show by sitting front row at Michael Kors during New York Fashion Week. The stylish mother/daughter duo were both unsurprisingly wearing pieces by the iconic American designer and Carys looked confident as she mingled with superstar actresses Naomi Watts and Nicole Kidman and legendary photographer Mario Testino.
Catherine, who also has a Best Supporting Oscar to her name, praised her daughter's individuality and moral compass.
"Yeah, well she's pretty individual, very strong young lady and that I think is what I admire about her more than anything," she told E! News.
"She's strong and smart, has good morals and good judgement, which for a 14-year-old, you never quite know what you're gonna get."
While the next generation of models seem to be plucked exclusively from the homes of Hollywood parents (Kaia Gerber, Kendall Jenner, Paris Jackson and Sofia Richie), Carys said she's exploring the possibility of a runway career.
"This is my first show so I'll see what happens, but I definitely see it in my future, I just don't know about right now," she added.
Zeta Jones and Douglas (72) have been married for 17 years and they separated briefly before reuniting in 2015 consider themselves "tighter than ever" and have experienced their fair share of ups and downs: his battle with throat cancer, her struggles with bipilar disorder and Michael's son from his first marriage - Cameron Douglas - was released from prison last year after serving a seven year sentence for drug charges.
