Cameron Diaz praises 'brave' friend Gwyneth Paltrow: 'People should honour and respect her decision'
Cameron Diaz thinks her pal Gwyneth Paltrow is “very brave”.
Gwyneth revealed on her GOOP blog earlier this week she and her husband Chris Martin agreed to a “conscious uncoupling”, which meant their marriage of over ten years is over.
And Cameron believes the pair are admirable in how they are handling the separation.
"They've made a conscious effort to separate the part of their lives they don't want to live together anymore, and maintain a really beautiful, strong bond as parents and as friends...I think people should really honour that and they should admire it and they should respect it,” Cameron told E! News at CinemaCon in Las Vegas Thursday.
“They've done something really extraordinary, and they've been very brave at presenting that to the public. She's doing great. They're doing great."
Gwyneth, 41, and Chris, 37, are currently vacationing in the Bahamas with their two small children - Apple, nine, and Moses, seven.
Cameron thinks it’s excellent her friends can maintain comradery after choosing to end their union.
"For both Chris and Gwyneth, I mean they worked really hard," The Counselor actress explained.
"People want them to blow up and it to be ugly, but they're kind, generous, loving people who really care about one another. Just because they don't want to be a couple together, doesn't mean that they have to hate one another. They are really good friends."
