Call me Mrs Ronan: Mairead Farrell changes name after weekend wedding to Louis
Mairead Farrell is officially Mrs Ronan.
The Today FM star (35) previously revealed she would be sticking with tradition and taking her new husband's last name when they wed and she has stayed true to her word.
The broadcaster wed businessman Louis Ronan (29) in his native Tipperary on Friday and has now changed the name on her Twitter account to reflect her new status as a married woman.
The mum-of-one to little Dara (eight) who acted as Best Man at the lavish nuptials, said that she had no qualms about adopting the Ronan surname, saying: "I'm going to change it. I can't be two people."
Her wedding attracted a shot of stars from Irish radio as expected, including Ray D'Arcy and Jenny Kelly, Ian Dempsey, Anton Savage, Louise Duffy and Marian Finucane.
Mairead also thanked her son, who penned his own speech, for his kind words on the big day, saying: "I'm proud of Dara everyday but could have burst with pride after his speech."
The pair are now off on honeymoon but the radio producer has been left in the dark about the destination with Louis choosing to surprise his new bride.
