'Budget bride' Adele plans a low-key wedding with bangers and mash....and Sid Owen
As if you needed another reason to love Adele.
The superstar singer (28) at the top of everyone's dream best friend list is engaged to marry her long-term partner Simon Konecki and while they're keeping details of the big day under wraps, one thing is for sure - it won't be an OTT affair.
The Oscar-winner, who has a son Angelo with her other half of five years, is reportedly keen to have a "low key" wedding.
"Adele said she doesn't want her wedding to be formal and show-offy. She wants to be about who they are as a couple. Adele would happily have a small ceremony, then dish out the bangers and mash afterwards. She's not tight, she's happy to pay for everyone to have a great day - she just doesn't want it to be stuffy."
As for the guestlist, she's reportedly avoiding any Hollywood big names, despite the fact she's hoping to have the initial ceremony in California before celebrating with pals back home in London.
"Adele is still on tour, so she would be happy with a simple registry office and knees-up with her closest friends. A good wedding is about having true friends. After the LA wedding, she'll have a gathering back at home so no one feels left out.
"It won't be star-studded either. She will invite all her mates she grew up with, as well as old mates Alan Carr and Sid Owen too."
