Bobbi Kristina Houston reportedly has "injuries" that have not yet been explained.

CNN report that a source "close to her family" has said that the 21-year-old daughter of Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston has unexplained injuries.

However, they did not specify the nature of those injuries.

Bobbi Kristina was found face down and unresponsive in her bathtub on Saturday January 31.

Her long-time boyfriend Nick Gordon spent the first day in hospital with her but has not yet returned amid reports of discord with Bobbi's father.

CNN also report that investigators are focusing on Gordon as they try to determine how she ended up face down in a bathtub full of water.

Her family remain by her bedside, her grandmother Cissy Houston having flown in on Thursday, and they are holding regular prayer groups in hopes of a 'miracle' recovery.

Her family were forced to release a statement earlier this week following speculation that she has no brain activity.

The statement via Bobby’s lawyer read: “If we issued a statement every time the media published a false report regarding this matter, that's all we would be doing 24 hours a day. This is false, just as is the vast majority of the other reporting that is currently taking place."

Following the statement, Bobbi’s cousin Jerod Brown posted a Facebook update to fans, informing them of her condition.

“Hey y'all, a few of you all have been messaging me, commenting under photos about her condition," the 21-year-old wrote. "Though it seems the odds are against her, though doctors don't see any hope for change, though we might want to play detective and find out how she got there, though it looks impossible for her to stand again."

He concluded: “STILL PRAY FOR BK #StillPrayForBK. Campaign starts NOW! Bobbi Kristina Houston Gordon (sic)."
