Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds enjoyed a rare public date night in their first red carpet appearance in nearly one year.
The famously private couple, who have been married for six years, packed on the PDA at Thursday night's screening of 'Final Portrait' in New York City on at the Guggenheim Museum. While they might prefer to make red carpet presentations bi-annual, but when they do, both know how to put on a show for the cameras, gazing lovingly at each other and posing for photographers.
Lively (30), who has two children with the Deadpool star (41), opted for an eye-catching print dress by Monse, a brand she has been championing in recent months and heels by Christian Louboutin. Her head-turning appearances might be considered among the world's most stylish, but she doesn't rely on the usual glam squad to get ready for the cameras, at least when it comes to her personal style, preferring to organise her own outfits in lieu of a professional stylist.
"It’s a lot of work - I mean, it’s not hard in that we all dress ourselves every morning. So once you have the clothes, you just pick out what to wear like any other human being does. But it’s easier because you have access to clothes and so it’s not that hard," she told Women's Wear Daily earlier this month.
"The hard part is going through all the fashion shows and screenshotting all the looks you like and calling them in. I have an assistant who helps in calling in the looks. But a lot of it is I have relationships with the designers."
The couple are fresh from a brief sojourn in Ireland in November, where Blake was filming The Rhythm Section, but production was halted after she injured her wrist.
