He might be one of the most recognisable faces on Irish screens, with a fast rising star in the UK - but don't expect to see Baz Ashmawy's wedding feature in any glossy magazine.
The 40-year-old tv presenter, who is enjoying the highest point of his career to date with Sky One's 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy, popped to the question to long-term girlfriend Tanja Evans earlier this year.
But the popular presenter said he won't feature his big day in any Irish or English publications as they are a "quite a private couple" and he was even shocked at the media interest in his engagement.
"It'’s funny because I couldn’t believe the reaction to us being engaged," he told the Irish Daily Mail.
"We are together years and I wouldn’t have thought that would have been of interest to anybody.
"We are quite a private couple like we wouldn’t be doing any magazine deals or anything like that. For me, I give away so much of myself and family in TV stuff that I do.’
"Those little times between Tanja and me and the kids, that’s for us."
The pair, who have been together for nine years, are eyeing up wedding destinations abroad.
"I’d say we will go away, maybe to Belgrade or Cairo as Tanja is half-Serbian. But I am excited," he added.
They are parents to Hannah (5) and three-year-old Mahy, and Baz is stepfather to Tanja's four children from a previous relationship, Charlotte (18), Harry (17), Jake (13) and Amelia (11).
Baz also said that his mother Nancy, who co-stars on the hit Sky One show, has her own dedicated fanbase.
