Back to business: Lara Stone returns to spotlight in Cannes after David Walliams split
It's back to business for supermodel Lara Stone.
The Dutch beauty announced in March that she and her husband of five years, comedian David Walliams, were in the midst of a "trial separation" and she avoided the spotlight in the intervening months.
But the face of Calvin Klein underwear is back and looking better than ever at the Cannes Film Festival.
Earlier this week, she made her first red carpet appearance since news of the split hit the headlines for the premiere of Youth, but she stole the show at last night's amfAR gala in a glittering gold dress by Versace.
She was joined by a host of her fellow supermodels at the A-list event, including Jourdan Dunn, Joan Smalls, Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes, Karlie Kloss, Adriana Lima and Irina Shayk among others.
It was reported last month that Walliams, with whom she has two-year-old son Alfred, was hoping for a reconciliation. And she has been spotted still wearing her ring, sparking speculation that the pair are trying to work through their issues.
"David and Lara's marriage has been suffering for months. They had been living separate lives, but he's really hoping this isn't the end for them," a source told British magazine Closer. "David became jealous of Lara cosying up with hot models on shoots. This was partly responsible for the arguments."
