Atwell in dark about Peggy spin-off
Hayley Atwell has revealed she isn't sure what is happening with Captain America spin-off Agent Carter.
The TV series, focusing on Hayley's Marvel character Peggy Carter and set in the mid-40s, has yet to be given the green light for a 13-episode series.
"I don't know. You know as much as I do," she admitted, when asked what is happening with the project.
The British actress said she is definitely interested in reprising her role as Peggy, a skilled gunwoman who is also Captain America's love interest, in the series.
"I would love it if they asked me to do it. I'd love to work with these guys again and spend the half of the year doing that, so I would say yes," she said.
ABC network boss Paul Lee has said that the show's future is under consideration, but described the Agent Carter pilot script, written by Stephen McFeely and Christopher Markus, as "really good".
"That certainly has a chance to be on the network," he said in January.
Agent Carter would also feature a recurring role for Tony Stark's father Howard, played by Dominic Cooper in the two Captain America films.
Hayley returns to the role of Peggy alongside Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L Jackson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which opens in cinemas on March 26.
