A PLANE piloted by actor Harrison Ford has crashed on a golf course in LA.
The 72-year-old ‘Star Wars’ legend is said to be injured, but not seriously, according to website TMZ.
The plane crash-landed on a golf course in Venice, California.
It is believed the actor suffered cuts to his head and was bleeding.
An NBC reporter at the scene described the actor's injuries as 'serious'.
Two doctors, who were playing on the course at the time, attended to him at the scene.
Emergency services arrived a short time afterwards, and the star has been transferred to hospital.
"We can confirm that there was a plane crash and the male occupant was a 65-70 years old man. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition," Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Officer Nuria Vanegas said.
"The incident was reported at 2:25 p.m., it was mechanical failure of plane, that's what caused the accident," Vanegas said.
