It looks like Prince Harry has finally moved on. The 32-year-old royal is reportedly dating American actress Meghan Markle in secret for the last six months and is said to be "besotted" with her. But who is she? And how does she fit in with the royal family?

1. She’s a tv star.

She plays paralegal Rachel Zane on US drama Suits since 2011. On the show, her character is currently engaged to Mike Ross and we’ve seen some pretty steamy scenes between them.

2. She’s a charity campaigner.

Earlier this year she was named a Global Ambassador for World Vision and so far, she has travelled to Rwanda to see the impact clean water has on the lives of local communities.

3. She’s no stranger to Ireland.

She previously spent time in Dublin in 2014 for the One Young World conference. At the time, she was falsely linked to Irish golfer Rory McIlroy, but we revealed the pair are just friends and she was here with her now ex-boyfriend .

4. She was married before.

Markle was married for two years to producer Trevor Engelson, but the pair split in 2013 after nine years together.

5. She has brains and beauty.

Meghan graduated the prestigious Northwestern University in 2003 with a degree in theatre and international relations.

6. She got her big break on General Hospital.

Her first acting role was in 2002 as a guest star on the popular US soap opera.

7. Showbiz runs in her family.

Her father was a lighting director on his ‘90s sitcom Married…with Children and she grew up on the set.  She was there “every day after school for 10 years," she told Esquire.

8. She’s well travelled.

After finishing university, she worked for the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires for six months. "I had finished my credits early so I went there to work as an intern and then I moved to Madrid shortly after that."

9. She has William and Kate's approval.

Meghan has reportedly met Harry's older brother Prince William and wife Kate Middleton who have both given the nod to their "budding romance".

10. Her male crush is an unlikely one.

When asked who her celebrity crush was, she didn’t say Prince Harry but showed she definitely doesn’t have a type. "You're going to laugh at who my male celebrity crush is but I'll never let it go. I love Dennis Quaid,” she told Best Health Magazine.
