It has been over a month since reality tv star/model/DJ Vogue Williams and former Westlife singer Brian McFadden announced their marriage was over.
They broke the news in identically worded statements sent to their combined 380,000+ Twitter followers at the exact same time. As it emerged that the pair were still living together following their split, we take a look at Brogue’s rather bizarre behaviour for a couple supposedly estranged.
After nearly three years of marriage, Brian and Vogue reveal that they have “gone their separate ways” by tweeting identical statements. The pair, who married in a lavish ceremony in Florence in 2012, had only just purchased a home in Vogue’s native Howth two weeks before the announcement.
Vogue makes her first solo public appearance since the revelation of her marriage split as she attends ITV’s summer party in London’s Notting Hill. The 29-year-old beauty manages to put on a brave face, but the paparazzi are sent into frenzy when Brian arrives to collect her from the bash; just two days after announcing their break-up.
Meanwhile, two days later, Vogue writes in her Sunday World column that they want to “remain friends and will always in each other's lives.”
Vogue continues to dive headfirst into work commitments. She appears as a panellist on Big Brother’s Bit On The Side after the finale episode and Brian again raises eyebrows tweeting a picture of her, stating he is “very proud”.
After three weeks of radio silence on the split, Brian and Vogue hit the headlines once again after he uploaded apicture of Vogue to his Instagram account. His caption reads: “Always looks glam even at the airport at silly o’clock! @voguewilliams” as Vogue beams for the camera in a pair of oversized sunglasses.
Brian tweets that he will be releasing new music and touring Ireland, marking his first foray into music in more than 10 years. Within 24 hours, Vogue is unveiled as the new face (and body) of new tanning brand, UTAN.
Although Brian dabbled in various presenting gigs during their romance, it’s Vogue’s television career that is skyrocketing. Since she won Bear Grylls: Mission Survive, she has landed presenting gigs for RTE and Channel 4 and been linked to a role in ITV.
As speculation increases surrounding the pair’s strangely friendly and united behaviour, Vogue admits that her and Brian are still living together. She tells The Sun: “I’m sure there will be a time when we’re not in contact as much as we are now, but until I find somewhere else we’re going to be in each other’s lives.”
Vogue also added that their break-up was not influenced by a third party, stating that she never “got married to get divorced” and it’s easier for them to be friends.
