Vivienne Connolly: 'My Italian man was all 'I love you, I love you'...I had to end it'
Actress Vivienne Connolly has revealed she broke up with an Italian man after he became too possessive.
The 42-year-old revealed that she had a "dalliance" with the Italian guy and she went over there a few times and had a great time.
However, the experienced model and actress, said that she didn't settle for him because it was never going to be.
"It was just a bit of fun. That was it. It suited me. It suited him. He was all, 'I love you,I love you'."
She said that he was great fun and lovely, and it was great because it was in Italy.
"It didn't interfere with my children or my life or anything like that. I went over there a few times and had a great time and came home and that was the end of that."
However she revealed that he got "too possessive".
"I was making the kids dinner one night and I get a phone call from him, 'Oh Vivienne, you don't love me any more'.
"Then he said: 'You are on Facebook too much.' I just went, 'I have two children. I don't need a third'."
She said that it lasted about six months in total.
Vivienne married Mark Dunne in 2005 and they had two children, Ben (10) and Katie (8).
However, the couple were legally separated in April 2011.
Subsequently, Vivienne, who starred in Fair City, broke up with her subsequent partner John Norton in 2013, who she described as a lovely guy.
She has recently caught up with an ex-boyfriend in Naas, Brendan O'Rourke, who she dated for two- and-a-half years when she was 21.
"There is a chance of the spark reigniting. We are trying to be careful," said the star, who lives in Castleknock.
