Voice of Ireland presenter Kathryn Thomas is taking a much-needed break in the States before the start of her busy TV schedule.
And it's well-deserved after a busy summer for the RTE presenter when she filled in for John Murray on RTE Radio One.
"I've got seven or so months where I'm literally flat out and haven't time to think and then you've got a month or two where you can take off," she told the Herald.
She's certainly taking advantage of her time off as the Operation Transformation presenter has jetted off to America with her sister Linda.
Kathryn has been posting pictures of the pair enjoying themselves to her social media accounts.
"Love you sis," she wrote on Twitter, with a picture of the Statue of Liberty in the background.
While in New York, she also met up with Tipperary native and celebrity chef Stuart O'Keefe, who made a name for himself on Private Chefs of Beverly Hills on the Food Network.
After New York, Kathryn made her way to Connecticut where they enjoyed some wonderful food.
"Friends + food +fun = phenomenal. #Conneticut," Kathryn wrote online.
Kathryn is also taking in a road trip to Maine with friend Shane Rigney.
They enjoyed some luscious lobster from the Lobster Shack and Shane posted a picture of them travelling in the car together.
Life is good for the top presenter as she recently revealed that her restaurateur beau Padraig McLoughlin has moved into her Dublin 8 home.
"We moved in together very recently so I'm very happy," she said.
And in preparation for her holiday and for the new autumn-winter schedule, Kathryn is back working out with celebrity trainers Paul and Siobhan Byrne.
