With body stockings, plumped up lips and a collection of wigs Liza Minelli would envy - Kylie Jenner is doing it her own way.
She's the 17-year-old who has rarely been out of the headlines for more than a few hours since transforming her appearance 12 months ago. The youngest Kardashian, who, if she continues her stratospheric rise to notoriety, will out-fame the rest of her family.
Shunning Kourtney and Khloe's maternal ways, or Kendall's runway career, Kylie seems to be a devoted student to the Kim Kardashian school of thought.
Kim and her husband, Kanye West, often hail the teenager's unique personal style (remember their obsession with her Tumblr page?), and on the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, matriarch Kris Jenner encouraged her once again to capitalise on her fame. "People are obsessed with your style," she said.
But those "people" comprise of a very specific niche - teenagers, specifically, girls. And it looks like Kylie has effortlessly cracked the elusive Gen Y market, a feat even big sister Kim hasn't been able to achieve.
Kylie has followed in Kim's high heeled foosteps to a T - revealing outfits, scandalous relationships and a selfie obsession. But unlike her big sister, she is considered a "digital native", growing up in the Instagram era, an advantage she's using with her staggering social media presence.
With a combined 36 million followers on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat; this savvy style icon in the making is influencing teenagers every day. Keeping Up With The Kardashians might be the family's biggest money maker, but for Kylie and Gen Y, the internet is where is the true hive of activity and these activities begin with mobile.
Her iPhone is rarely out of her manicured hands, both on the programme and in paparazzi shots, and the volume of photos she uploads daily to her social channels only confirm this.
It all started last year. We watched as a awkward teenage Kylie struggled to live in her famous family's shadow, in particular, comparisons with her 19-year-old sister Kendall, who was making a name for herself as a model on the rise.
While the idea of competing for fame and fortune with your own flesh and blood might be a foreign concept to the average teenager, there isn't one younger sibling out there who hasn't at least once compared themselves to their older brother or sister.
Her most talked about asset is her lips, which she puts down to carefully applied lip liner, but critics say is courtesy of collagen. We saw the extent of her influencer with the #KylieJennerChallenge, as dozens of children and teenagers are bruising their faces in order to attain her plumped up pout.
Then, there's the hair. Fittingly, she has her own range of hair extensions (she is a Kardashian after all, they'd make money off branded oxygen if they could) as she famously wears wigs and weaves to achieve multi-coloured hairstyles.
Finally, there's her personal style, which has the most impact.
During Sunday's festivities at Coachella, Jenner wore what can only be described as a semi sheer body stocking, one of her more toned down looks of late. Earlier in the week, she borrowed her 33-year-old sisters' revealing black bikini for a pool party and is frequently snapped wearing shorts so short they would make Miley Cyrus blush.
As for her relationship status, a tabloid teen could never be single. She's reportedly dating Tyga, a 25-year-old rapper, who has a child with ex partner Blac Chyna.
So, what's next for Kylie Jenner? She has grown up in a 24-hour news cycle and spent the better part of her teens perpetuating its content, all eyes will remain on the world's most influential teenager, and if you have teenage daughters, yours should be included.
