Kate Middleton's nickname at school was pretty cringy, to say the least.

Before she was known as The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate had quite an unusual nickname at school.

An interview with the mother-of-two during a trip to her old school, St Andrews, in 2012 has re-emerged, during which she revealed that her classmates called her "Squeak" during her school days.

OK Magazine reports that Squeak was the name of one of the school's guinea pigs, and her sister Pippa was also given a nickname after one of the furry pets.

"There was one called Pip and one called Squeak, so my sister was called Pip and I was Squeak," she said.

Something tells us that Kate is much happier with the title she has now.
