Believe it or not, Jamie Dornan 'can’t fulfil fantasies'
Jamie Dornan doesn’t think it’s possible for him to fulfil every fan’s fantasies
The 32-year-old portrays kinky businessman character Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, which is based on E.L. James’ bestselling erotic novel.
He did his best to portray Christian authentically and Jamie isn’t too worried about whether his performance will impress every viewer.
“At the very core of everything that we did with the movie, it was just like, ‘Let’s give these fans what they want’,” he told MTV News. “There might be people who I’m not their ideal, or I don’t fulfil whatever their fantasy was of this guy, but I can’t do anything about that.”
Jamie is married to English actress Amelia Warner and the couple share 15-month-old daughter Dulcie together.
Fifty Shades of Grey holds a dear place in Jamie’s heart, because Dulcie played a significant part in his experience filming the movie.
“My wife was very heavily pregnant at the time, so we had to get to Vancouver, have a Canadian baby,” he recalled. “It was kind of a mad time, and most of my energy was taking care of my wife, and when our baby came, taking care of her… it was good to have something else to focus on to take away that pressure, in a way.”
Jamie knows Fifty Shades of Grey will catapult him into the spotlight in a major way.
But he isn’t too concerned about growing fame.
“I guess people recognise you in the street more, maybe that occurs,” Jamie revealed in an interview with the UK’s Glamour magazine. “I love both [my friends and family], and I've had the same group of mates since I was a kid and that doesn't change, so essentially those things, and my answer is that I don't think my life will change because those things don't.”
