Brooklyn Beckham replaces Zayn and spends an evening with One Direction lads
The fifth spot in One Direction has been vacant since the departure of Zayn Malik earlier this year but it seems the boys might be toying with the idea of replacing the singer with Brooklyn Beckham.
Sixteen-year-old Brooklyn met the boys backstage at the Capital FM Summertime Ball and made sure to snap a few pictures with the world’s most in demand band.
Although it’s unclear whether or not Brooklyn can hold a tune, he might just follow in his mother Victoria’s pop footsteps now that there is an empty spot on stage with the boys.
Backstage at the ball, Brooklyn also posed with Ariana Grande, who is rumoured to be dating Westmeath’s Niall Horan.
While Brooklyn was hanging out with the pop world’s most elite, his little sister Harper spent the weekend sharpening her football skills.
The little girl’s proud dad shared a photo on Instagram of Harper lining up to take a strike at goals Friday afternoon.
“Mia Hamm eat your heart out. Harper Seven taking lessons from her brothers (oh and her dad),” he wrote.
Little Harper, who turns four in July, and her brothers Brooklyn, Cruise and Romeo have been spending a lot enjoying the sunshine in recent weeks and last weekend David shared a photo of the tot riding her bike without stabilisers.
Victoria recently spoke about Harper’s love of football, an interest she has inherited living in a house dominated by boys.
"Harper likes football as well. It’s like a dagger going through my heart — I don’t want to see that in a headline. Please don’t tweet that," she laughed.
"She’s got little shoes and a little football shirt and she runs around in the garden with her brothers. So as much as she is girly, she’s a tomboy as well.”
