The daughter of the late singer Whitney Houston is to be taken off life support., it has been reported
TMZ reports that the family have been told there is no hope for the 21-year-old, however her father Bobby Brown is refusing to allow the life support to be withdrawn.
It is reported he is hopeful that she may still recover - as someone in his extended family managed to wake from a coma after eight days.
However her maternal grandmother Cissy has been called and arrangements are being made for her to visit the hospital to say goodbye.
Today is Bobby Brown's birthday.
His daughter was transferred to Emory University Hospital earlier this week, as it has a world class neurological department.
However it is reported that medics have told the family there is little hope of her emerging from the coma.
Police were called to the aspiring singer's house in Georgia on January 31, which they said in a brief report was in response to the 21-year-old "drowning".
She was found face down and unresponsive in the bath at her home by her boyfriend Nick Gordon, 23, and a friend who the police have identified as her ex Max Lomas (24).
Nick is reported to have given her CPR and Max apparently called for an ambulance.
Investigators are still looking into how she ended up underwater for what is thought to be between two and five minutes.
The daughter of late pop star Whitney Houston remains in a medically induced coma while an incident report released by police gave no details about how she ended up unresponsive in a bathtub at her suburban Atlanta home.
