Ruth Griffin

The gorgeous Meghan Markle walks down the aisle this year, in surely the most anticipated wedding of 2018.

In a recent interview she spilled the beans on some of her favourite beauty goodies and the thing that struck me most was her determination to keep her skin natural and fresh. Seemingly, her pet peeve is when make-up artists attempt to disguise her naturally freckled skin. It made me think of Bobbi Brown's famous quote on bridal make-up styles. She maintains that you "should look like yourself, but at your most beautiful" on your wedding day.

That's my main piece of advice for brides-to-be: by all means pamper and prettify yourself, but steer away from completely altering yourself. Also, remember the 6P's in bridal beauty: Planning, Preparation, Prime, Polish, Pinterest and Patience!
