Norah Casey to launch beauty line for RTÉ2 show 'Norah's Traveller Academy'
Presenter and business woman Norah Casey will offer advice and guidance to Traveller women willing to start up their own business on her new RTÉ2 show.
The founder of the Harmonia publishing company will front a new show this Autumn on RTÉ2 titled ‘Norah’s Business Academy’, which will profile her as she helps four young Traveller women launch their careers.
As part of the show, the former Dragon’s Den star will collaborate on a beauty line with one of the show’s participants:
“I’ve been working with the girls since April and one of them, Christine Collins, and I are launching a beauty range called Beoir together,” she told The Herald at yesterday’s RTÉ2 launch.
Earlier this year Norah told The Herald that it took several months before the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) gave it the green light:
“This is a hugely sensitive area so there has been a lot of discussion with directors and producers,” she said.
Also set to grace our screens again in the coming months is Kelly McDonagh (20), the settled Traveller from Co Cork who rose to fame when she became runner up on the Voice of Ireland while pregnant with her son. It's RTE2 with a twist - but channel still trying to get down with the kids
After the success of her fly-on-the-wall show What Kelly Did Next, the McDonagh family have invited the cameras into their home to offer an insight into their culture.
