So Seren, my baby girl, has inherited her daddy's magical eyelashes. They're magical because they're invisible - like, totally see-through. I reckon Will got his lashes from the same place as Boris Becker, although he says we're lucky it's Seren who got the invisible eyelashes and not Maxim, our baby boy, because at least Seren can wear mascara when she's older.
So today, we're talking mascara. Lots of mascara. A mascara wardrobe, in fact.
You see, just like my clothes, I like to have specific mascaras for specific occasions. So from work to weddings, I've got your lashes, em, covered.
Day: Now it's not just bras that lift and separate, mascara should too. Estee Lauder's Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara, €25, with its unique BrushComber brush and fabulous formula, ensures that every single lash is given va-va-va-volume, curl and a huge lift, just like a push-up bra.
Night: Right now, I'm obsessed with Charlotte Tilbury's Full Fat Lashes, €29. It's really black and glossy and gorgeous, and just perfect when it's paired with a smokey eye.
Day to night: Maybelline's Lash Sensational Lash Multiplying Mascara, below left, €11.99, can be built up, layer upon layer, without fear of clumps or crunchiness, to multiply your lashes and take you from day to night in no time.
Events: Mac have released Haute & Naughty Waterproof Lash, below, €24.50, just in time for the wedding season.
It has a dual-wiper system - one wiper applies a thin coat, the other wiper loads the lashes, for greater impact - and it's tear-proof and humidity-resistant. It quickly coats from root to tip, with conditioning ingredients that prevent dryness.
Top tip: Layer waterproof mascara on top of your regular formula. It will last longer and be easier to remove at the end of the day.
When I self-tan, I often look like I have MJ Disease - I totally made that disease up, btw! I get white patches and spotty legs, as if the tan is inside the pores on my legs.
According to Jules Heptonstall, St Tropez global tanning expert, I need to use a cold flannel on my legs before I tan, to close my pores, and I mustn't have a hot shower either, as this is what causes it.
Will and I have this game that we play when we're out in the car, where we count how many men and women are out jogging.
I always say there are more men jogging, whereas Will says there are definitely more women. Probably because I notice more, em, fit men and Will notices the fit women!
What are we like?
Another thing we notice is that every female jogger seems to wear a combination of black and pink. You'll see yourself the next time you're out, if you play this game. Is female workout gear only made in these colours or what?
If you like to be all matchy matchy than you'll love The New Black Love Match Lip and Nail Duo, left, €21, as, just like this one,Pink Flamingos, they are impeccably matched lip and nail colours. Great for an instant, effortless, pulled-together look.
A love match, if you will.
Yaaaaaay! My little sis, Anna Banana, just got engaged. For all the other brides-to-be like Zooey Deschanel, right, here is a date for your diary.
On Thursday, March 26, Lorraine Browne Hair is hosting a Vintage Bridal Evening in Lemons Beauty salon in Clontarf, D3, see lemons.ie.
I've been lucky enough to work with Lorraine on shoots and I've even booked her for family weddings. Lorraine has a private Bridal Hair Studio in Lemons Beauty for bridal trials, but she'll travel to your venue on the big day.
The evening includes a Vintage Bride Fashion Show, invites and stationery from Jill Blanc Designs, as well as the beauty experts from Lemons Beauty on hand to offer expert advice.
It was the Roads fragrance, White Noise, below, €98 - so-called because it's inspired by technology and created to represent this static calm - that got me thinking about my late sister Tricia and me listening to our Simon & Garfunkel cassette on a big, old tape recorder, in the room we shared as kids.
We loved The Sound of Silence the best, and I remember how I'd get Tricia to press stop after every line, so I could write down the lyrics. We learnt it off by heart and used to practise singing it and doing the harmonies.
Well, here I am today, still listening to that song, and crying my eyes out as I think back to those innocent times.
Actually, you wouldn't believe how this song makes even more sense nowadays, as we're all so distracted by our phones.
There are people sitting next to each other, completely ignoring one another, yet texting and tweeting, etc.
"People talking without speaking, People hearing without listening."
Awesome lyrics! Although I never really took any notice of the line, "Silence like a cancer grows".
Yeah, that cancer grew and silenced you, alright. I close my eyes and think of you today, and every day, Tricia - a beautiful, brave, kind and creative young woman that I was so proud to call my sister for 30 years, nine months, three weeks and one day.
Kneevage is the new cleavage!
I blame Topshop for the knee invasion, with their ripped-at-the-knee jeans, which just about every girl in Ireland seems to be wearing now!
Now, if you need your knees to look good, try using this works energy bank hand makeover, right, €22, on them. Hands, knees and elbows, look instantly younger, the makers claim, as this conceals any imperfections with its blend of vitamin E, shea butter and soft-focus powders. It tightens and brightens, smells delish, and leaves skin with a slight shimmer.
Top tip: Use on your feet when you're wearing low-cut shoes with jeans.
