Irish designer Philip Treacy is about to get the MAC treatment.

The Galway milliner, whose designs are favoured by Sarah Jessica Parker and Princess Beatrice, will be collaborating with MAC Cosmetics in one the most anticipated new makeup collections this Spring.

The 12-product range will be released this April, but no specific date has been confirmed yet.

Treacy's partnership with the brand marks the first time an Irish person has teamed up with the cult brand and he said he was thrilled with the upcoming collaboration.

“MAC has been very suportive of my work for over 20 years. To me, MAC is a futuristic makeup brand,” he said.

“They always push the boundaries and foster future creative talents. So, when they approached me for this collaboration two years ago, I said yes immediately.”

“MAC allowed me to have complete freedom on the collaborations—from the shades, the look-and-feel, to the campaign visuals. I have to admit that the visual aspect of the collection excites me most. For designers, we care about the photographs much more than a Ferrari.”
