100 years of glamour: Gwyneth Paltrow emulates iconic beauties in campaign
The 41-year-old actress has been enlisted as the face of the cosmetic company’s ‘Modern Icon’ campaign.
Renowned makeup maestro Pat McGrath, who serves as the brand’s Creative Design Director, was on hand to transform Gwyneth into ‘glamorous heroines from various decades’.
Campaign images show the mum of two as she channels internationally recognized icons who represent the typical beauty looks of their respective eras.
In one shot, the Californian actress embodies the timeless elegance of the 1950s, in an Audrey Hepburn inspired chignon and matte brown lipstick.
In another, she plays the 1960s ‘sex kitten’, with doe-eyes, full lashes and a pale pink pout.
The glamour kicks up a notch in subsequent images which show the influence of the 1970s and 1980s when it comes to fake tan and colour experimentation.
The ‘Modern Icon’ campaign is to celebrate the beauty giant reaching its 100th year in business.
Newly single Gwyneth, who split from Coldplay frontman Chris Martin earlier this year, is notably health conscious and is more often seen rocking a natural makeup look.
