Make-up Muse: Ashley Tisdale
Actress, singer and producer Ashley Tisdale opted for a fresh, fun and flirty look at the recent Pirates of the Caribbean premiere. Trading her usual uniform of skinny jeans and ballet flats, Ashley shone in a stunning Brian Lichtenberg gown and nude YSL Tribtoo heels and pared back make-up.
Ashley's dress did the talking, with her bronzed skin, nude lips and sparkling smile providing the perfect backdrop. Having recently made the move from blonde to brunette, Ashley's tresses are more ombre of late and the High School Musical starlet opted for a loose natural wave at the premiere.
Although Ashley's skin has a natural sparkle, stealing the look shouldn't be too difficult with the right tools. A light reflecting illuminater like YSL's Flash Radiance Skincare Brush is a great start, as it will provide foundation with a good base while giving skin that A-list glow. A sheer foundation matched to your skin tone can then be applied with finger tips for a soft natural finish before imperfections are corrected with Make Up Forever's Full Coverage Concealer.
Not blessed with Ashley's beautiful golden glow? Fake the finish with a good bronzer like Fake Bake Bronzing Rocks. Apply along the perimeters of the face and along the cheekbones for a sun-kissed finish.
For eyes Ashley usually works creams, golds and bronze which is a palette that complements her skin tone. Begin by washing a nude shadow like Bourjois's Beige Rose from the lid to the browbone before gently working a bronze shadow into the socket and blending into the crease. A darker tone can be swept into the crease and lower lash line to add some subtle definition.
Blessed with thick lustrous lashes, Ashley doesn't need to try too hard when it comes to creating eyes that sparkle, for the rest of us there's mascara! Two coats of a lengthening mascara like Lancome’s Hypnose Drama Mascara should do it, but if you'd like some extra flutter, prep lashes with an eyelash curler and notice the difference.
Ashley kept lips nice and natural with a pale pink lipstick. For a flawless finish begin by prepping with a pencil before gently applying Bobbi Brown's Creamy Lip Colour in Baby with a brush. For a more intense pink take the colour direct from the bullet.
For hair, a subtle wave really does mean that so don't overdo it. Rolling damp hair in large rollers and blasting with a hairdryer will give a loose curl but if you prefer a tongs, wrap large sections around a barrel-iron for something suitably soft and subtle. We love this look!
