Make-up artist Tom Pecheux says that this is a look any woman can recreate at home

When you’re modelling lingerie, there isn’t any leeway for anything other than fabulous hair and make-up.

According to make-up artist Tom Pecheux, this year’s look was all about effortless, undone glamour.

“Of course these girls are some of the most beautiful in the world, but we also do a type of makeup that any woman can recreate at home,” Pecheux told “It’s not about trying to look like anyone else—it’s about looking your best. That’s the direction I went for with this show.”

He added: We dropped the glitter and the bronzer this year, there is nothing like that on the runway today. I think it's very important for Victoria's Secret to be a spokesperson in the world, and it's important for people to know that too much sun isn't good for your skin. We went for a healthy finish with peachy cheeks, as if you've just come back from a run."

When asked what being a VS Angel means, Pecheux said: "I've been around for enough time to know what Victoria's Secret represents, and basically, the VS girl is extremely sexy, powerful, and the definition of perfection. When you know that, you don't have to do a lot."

The make-up artists created a neutral toned eye with two linter pencil and a few neutral shades, framing the lashes.

Lips meanwhile were a combination of deep berry and bright glossy pink.

“We did the berry color all over the lips, then we added the pink shade to the very centre," Pecheux explains "It's not a French kiss, It's a VS kiss!”

Some $75,000 was spent on hair extensions, not including the ones that hairdresser Orlando Pita had already added to the models' hair. "There is a lot of hair in this room," Pita said. "There are fans on the runway, and you don't want to see gaps in the hair as the girls walk. The extension help fill it out, and they add to the fullness and sexiness."
