Hero products to the rescue
We've all done it. Emerged out of the cosy cocoon that is November and launched ourselves recklessly into the craziness of December, saying yes to every possible adventure. And why wouldn't we? It's so much fun after all.
But now we're half way through the month, and the novelty of getting dressed up and using our favourite new eye make-up palette is actually starting to wear off. Even worse, we're not exactly looking our best any more.
Those jam-packed days and even longer nights are starting to take their toll. We need to get our mojo back and some hero products might just help.
Decleor Double Radiance Cream, €54 (available from Clery's)
This gel-cream combo may seem slightly gimmicky with its two-pump formula, but this surprisingly non-oily product packs a punch and leaves skin looking glowy. Great base for make-up.
Becca Fine Loose Powder, €35 (available from www.misebeauty.com)
This provides a very natural finish, great coverage and ensures make-up stays put but without that heavy feeling on your skin. Good for sensitive complexions.
Revlon Super Lustrous in Black Cherry, €9.99
Red lipstick is the go-to product for instant glamour but dark wine has a certain charm.
This gorgeous rich shade means you don't have to worry about spending too long on your eye make-up (it is a matte lippie though so make sure your lips are well moisturised first). A flick of black liner will do the trick.
Benefit Watt's Up, €34.50
Although it initially looks quite dark, this highlighter blends quite easily. No unnecessary shimmer, just a subtle champagne colour with a smooth texture.
Use this over your forehead, cheekbones and nose for a subtle golden glow. Although it's a little pricey, you don't have to use too much to get a good effect.
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer and Corrector, €23 each
Essential tools for any party-loving girl, their creamy concentrated formulation blends easily to disguise the ravages of the night before.
Use corrector (available in pink and peach tones) to brighten and disguise under-eye circles, and yellow-toned concealer if you need more coverage.
