It's official - Prince Harry has the sexiest beard in the world.

The 31-year-old royal has been rocking a ginger beard since returning home to the UK after spending the summer in Africa and his new look has met with resounding approval.

The flame haired prince's beard has been voted the best by Crown Clinic customers, with David Beckham coming in second place and George Clooney rounded out the top three.

Ben Affleck's facial fuzz came in fourth, followed by Ryan Gosling and Hugh Jackman.

And Irishman Jamie Dornan and his glorious beard rounded out the top 10.But the beard debate is still waging on as 62% of women saying they prefer men freshly shaven, but 62% of men saying they prefer the beard - but nearly half of men are unable to grow a full beard.

The fascination into facial hair shows no sign of waning as historian Dr Alun Withey is launching a historical investigation into the popularity of beards, according to the Daily Mail.
