Kelly Osbourne steps out with shaved head, as she plans to 'adopt Joan Rivers' dogs'

Tv personality Kelly Osbourne is hoping to adopt the late Joan Rivers' dogs, according to reports.

The 29-year-old star attended a film premiere in Beverly Hills last night, showing off her new hair do.

The Fashion Police host piled her purple locks in a braid on top of her head, highlighting the bare sides which she recently shaved.

It is rumoured that Kelly is keen to adopt co-star Joan Rivers two beloved pups.

"They were so close and really bonded over their love of dogs," a source told OK! magazine. "Kelly feels caring for them would be a way to keep Joan close."

Joan also had two dogs at her home in Los Angeles and it is believed that her daughter Melissa would be happy to hand the New York pooches over to Kelly because she has so many other things on her plate.

As well as sorting out her mother's estate, Melissa (46)  has to make a decision about who, if anyone, could replace Joan as the anchor of the hit E! fashion show, which she presented right up until her death on September 4th.

"If Melissa's son, Cooper, says he wants the dogs, she'll keep them... but she knows they'd have a good home with Kelly," the source continued.

Kelly and her family have always loved pets, with her mom Sharon Osbourne regularly seen carrying a Japanese Chin or Chihuahua.

However, the former singer hasn't always had the best luck with her pooches, with Pomeranian puppy Woody dying in 2010 from a suspected heart attack. And she was left devastated the next year when another puppy of the same breed, Noodles, had to be put down after a scan revealed he had been born with an untreatable brain defect.

"Noodles is not going to make it. she was born with a brain defect and I have to put her to sleep today," she wrote on Twitter at the time. "I'm devastated. I just cant believe it.(sic)"

Osbourne has confirmed she will be returning to Fashion Police.

“It's my decision. I am going back, and no one is replacing Joan,” she recently told Queen Latifah.

The purple-haired host saw Joan as a second grandmother and said she finds it hard to hear the rumours surrounding who could replace the legendary comic.

“'Every day I wake up to another rumour of somebody and it's not fair to do that to them because you're basically saying they have these massive shoes to fill,” she said. “I don't even think that a discussion has been had yet about any specific person. All we know is that the show is going to have a lot of similarities but it's going to be a new form of Fashion Police.”

While Kelly is looking forward to the show’s return, she is still struggling to come to terms with the loss of someone she held so dear.

“To wake up every day and have one of the biggest parts of your life not there, and I'm still doing those things where I'm like ‘Ooooh.. I gotta tell...’ Oh, never mind - and then you find yourself in floods of tears,” she explained. “But this is all part of it, and the one thing I can always take away is what Joan taught me, and that is that we are so lucky, we have a job and it is amazing.”
