Cheryl Fernandez Versini's cover is blown with dodgy hair extensions exposed during X Factor filming
Don't look now, L'Oreal.
Cheryl Fernandez Versini might be the face of one of the world's biggest beauty companies haircare range, but the X Factor judge had a very unfortunate moment with her hair extensions.
Six years after she had her extensions removed (complaints flooded in after she advertised L'Oreal Elvive shampoo's ability to revive her “weak, limp, lifeless” hair while wearing the piece), she is now using clip in hair pieces isntead of longer term bonds and glue extensions.
And while many prefer clip-ins over beads, it comes with a much bigger threat - a big enough gust of wind can blow your cover.
Cheryl was in Farnborough with her contestants Reggie and Bollie as part of their homecoming special before this weekend's X Factor final, but style sleuths couldn't help but notice her major faux pas.
The former Girls Aloud singer seemed oblivious to the fact that her hair was exposed and beamed as she held hands with her act as they made their way through the town.
She still looks gorgeous either way, but someone needs to teach her about the importance of backcombing.
