The gorgeous sunny weather we're currently enjoying can leave our skin struggling to cope. Take a two-pronged approach to tackling dehydration: drink lots and lots of water and check out these revitalising products.

REN Keep Young and Beautiful SH2C Serum (€54): Packed with peptides, rice proteins and hyaluronic acid, it helps to plump up skin thanks to increased collagen production. Make sure to apply it before your moisturiser.

L'Occitane Angelica Hydration Cream (€37): This contains angelica root, which sucks up water at a super-fast rate. The result is a perfectly plumped, smooth complexion. And this cream double-jobs as a great base for make-up.

Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask (€29): It contains apricot kernel oil and plant glycerin to quench skin's thirst. Put it on before you go to bed and you'll certainly see the benefits the next day, especially if it's the morning after the night before...

It's the perfect hangover cure, for your complexion, if not your head.

Clarins Hydra Quench Moisture Replenishing Lip Balm (€19.50): This lightweight balm transforms dry, parched lips, and seems to have a plumping effect. Pricey but effective.

Jennifer Lopez loves Clinique's Glosswear in Air Kiss (€13). This barely there pink sheer tint is the perfect complement to her sunkissed skin.

It took a little time to get to the Dawson Spa, located as it is in the heart of the eponymous hotel in Dublin, but it's worth it. As soon as I stepped through the door, I was transported into another world - one of hushed tones and evocative incense. I soon felt my cares melt away. Once I had put on my towelling robe, I was in the perfect mood to enjoy the VOYA Organic Illuminating Facial.

It is designed as a pick-me-up for your complexion before a big event, so there's no need to worry about any redness or breakouts. The focus is on brightening and evening out skin tone using a pressure-point massage to leave your complexion glowing. And it works! The foot massage during the treatment is pretty good too. Afterwards, make sure to give yourself enough time to enjoy a herbal tea in the relaxation room.
