Roses are red, violots are blue, Valentines is round the corner so what should we do? As it's time for our annual expression of love we at Independent Woman have been prancing and preening in search of the most sensual bits and bobs to get pulses racing.
Dim the lights, put on some mood music and be seduced by our four of the best for Valentine's Day:
Super soft skin: Creme de Corps by Kiehls
With bikini season still many weeks away you could be forgiven for the odd dry patch of skin here and there, ladies looking to bare all may wish to melt away the flakes with a dab or two of Kiehls Creme de corps. Packed with skin softening goodies like sesame seed oil and cocoa butter, a few pumps will be all that's required to leave skin soft, sensual and smelling scrumptious.
Available from Kiehls, priced at from €19.
Pucker up: Bare Minerals Buxum Lips
Ladies on the prowl for some pout perfecting polish will do well to plump those puckers with Buxom Lips by Bare Essentials. The mineral infused gloss gives lips a glossy shine while added ingredients of vitamins A and E will keep things soft and supple once the romance has gone and things are back to normal. As the aroma is slightly menthol, you'll also have some cover should you wish to pucker up half way through your romantic meal!
Available from Bare Minerals Counters, priced at €21.50.
Sensual scents: Untitled by Maison Martin Margiela
While we'll almost certainly be holding out for a fragrance related gift come February 14th it would be churlish of us to forget those of you who prefer to take matters into your own hands. Enter the oh so subtle Untitled by Maison Martin Margiela. Designed to capture the scent of a lush landscape after a night of heavy rain the light floral fragrance is perfect for ladies who prefer scent on the lighter side. Delightfully packaged deliciously delicate. The only downside is the confusion that comes from explaining the name.
Available from Brown Thomas, priced at €52 for 30ml.
Burn baby burn: Red Roses Home Candle by Jo Malone
If soft skin, sensual lips and heavenly scents don't do much for the mood then he probably isn't worth it. However, if you fancy one last throw of the dice there is the Red Roses Home Candle by Jo Malone. Promising to fill your boudoir with a combination of seven worldly roses this is clean, voluptuous scent with a heart of crushed violet. As with everything Malone, the scents never take over and what your left with is a final hint of lemon and spearmint.
