Even the best of foundations rarely solve all of our covering woes, but a good primer will lighten, brighten and camouflage even the most problematic of skin. This week, in an effort to mask a growing list of imperfections we went in search of some premier primers.

That Gal by Benefit

Dull skin in need of a brilliantly brightening base will be besotted after only a few sweeps of That Gal By Benefit. The silky pink primer perks-up all skin tones and can be dabbed where you need it most for a fabulously flawless finish. Face Primer Plus by Estee Lauder

Mature skin in need of a helping hand may find what's needed in Estee Lauders face primer plus colour correcting base. The oil free sheer liquid corrector is deramalogicly tested making it perfect for banishing any blemishes for oily and sensitive skin types. Infused with tints of yellow and gold, the creamy corrector neutralises redness making imperfections less noticeable. Quickly absorbed, it's a good base for making foundation last.
