With wedding season in full swing and a multitude of summer events including balls, the races or garden parties popping up left, right, and centre, the demand for a gorgeous look that will take you from day to night has never been higher.

Make-up artist to the stars Lisa Eldridge has created a face that is both gorgeously feminine and subtly balanced so it doesn’t look overpowering.

Featuring pastel hues including rosy pinks and plummy purples, the colour palette is bang on trend and will work perfectly for any occasion.

“To start the eyes, put down Bobbi Brown Metallic Cream Long Wear Cream Shadow in Pink Oyster and take it all the way up under the brow. It’s quite glittery but really pretty. To define, use the smoky eye palette by Bourjois in Rose Vintage and apply the deepest shade into the socket,” Lisa explained on her own website LisaEldridge.com.

“Work Revlon Eyeliner Pencil in Aubergine into the top lashes [to create a soft line] and also a little bit from the outside in on the lower lashline. Blend the liner with the middle colour from the Bourjois palette to softly define from underneath. Trace over the aubergine pencil with Rimmel Glam Eyes in Intense Plum liquid liner to add a little bit more sheen. Add a little bit of the palest rose shade from the palette into the inside corner of your eyes as a nice little highlight.

“You can finish off the look with plenty of Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara in Black or add false lashes for a more dramatic look.”

Lisa then explained how to complete the pretty look with rosy cheeks and a kissable pout.

“Use a bright pink blusher like Models Own powder blush in Cheeky Pink in a slightly sculptural way, coming around the cheekbone in a C-shape. Add a tiny bit of highlighter, for example Jouer in Camellia, above the blusher, on top of your nose and on top of your cupid’s bow,” she explained. “Use No. 7 lip pencil in nude and draw slightly over your natural lip line for a fuller effect and apply Revlon lipstick in Berry Smoothie on top.”
