Rosie Huntington-Whiteley reveals secrets to super toned stomach
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has to "really work" on her stomach.
The 27-year-old is best known as a lingerie model, walking for Victoria's Secret and designing a range for British retailer Marks & Spencer. But she admits her enviable figure takes a lot to achieve and maintain.
"I have to really work on my stomach. I’ve found Pilates great because it’s slow and controlled and you really have to think about the muscles you’re working," she told the British edition of Harper's Bazaar. "I drink a lot of water too. I always find that when I’ve not been drinking enough, I get more bloated. It sounds counter-productive but drinking more water will actually get rid of the water retention."
Rosie is constantly travelling the world and finds it hard to eat right when she has to order room service or grab food on the go. She tries her best to cook healthy when she is at home and doesn't overindulge in the run-up to a big shoot.
"When I’m out I’ll enjoy myself, but there are ways to make healthy choices – there’s always fish and chicken and salad," she said. "If I have a lingerie shoot or a red carpet event coming up, I might cut out carbs, watch my salt and sugar intake and drink even more water for a few days before."
The beauty also keeps herself in shape by going to the gym regularly. However, she believes it's important not to overdo it, as you can cause yourself more damage in the long run.
"Luckily, my brother is a personal trainer so he comes over to my hotel and makes me train with him," she added. "You should always try and listen to your body - often, when I am really tired and I go and train hard, I’ll pull a muscle, so now I try and make sure I just do some yoga and some stretching."
