Its the Im going to finish the packet of biscuits and maybe have a fried cheese sandwich - but tomorrow its nil-by-mouth. Could I lose a stone by Thursday? school of thought. Slow and steady is the ideal when it comes to weight loss but for many of us, including TOWIE star Lauren Goodger, notorious for her binge/starve cycles, its all or nothing.

The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Goodger has lost weight through hard work in the gym and an improved healthy diet.

The reality TV star was notorious for her binge/starve cycles and her yo-yo dieting.

Lauren (29) told Closer Magazine that she felt she had "ruined and abused her body" with years of fad diets.

Since February, the businesswoman and beauty entrepreneur has lost an impressive 3 stone.

The catalyst for her lifestyle change came when unflattering bikini pictures of Lauren were splashed all over the paper.

"I was 12st 9lbs, and the heaviest I’ve ever been," she said of the pictures.

Then a size 16, Lauren wanted to regain control of her figure.

The fact that her ex-boyfriend Mark Wright was about to marry actress Michelle Keegan, often cited as the world's sexiest woman, evidently spurred her on too.

Since signing up with a new trainer and changing her eating habits, Lauren said she feels like a "new woman, inside and out."

She also cut out the emotional and mindless eating.

"I eat more when I’m hungover," Lauren admitted.
She has now given up alcohol, and is happy to have rekindled her relationship with on/off boyfriend Jake McLean (below).

The former girlfriend of Mark Wright came under fire this week after tweeting "team anorexic".

She explained in her column for New Magazine that the tweet was a private joke between her and her brother Tony.

"I meant to direct message him but I tweeted by mistake. We've got a private joke about me being able to slip under the door soon because I'll be that slim. I wrote 'Yeah team anorexic'. It was a really, really stupid thing to write because as you know I'm not a fan of skinny - I'm all about being fit and I've worked really hard this year to get into shape the healthy way. I know I need to think before I joke about things on social media in case people think I'm serious," she stated.
