How to lose 15lbs in 15 minutes on Instagram thanks to the #faketransformation

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

And if it looks airbrushed...again, it probably is.

Instagram users have shared their tip top body secrets for showing off the 'perfect figure' on social media and their mafical transformations are all smoke and mirrors. Literally.

When it comes to your 'before' photo, stick your stomach out, let your shoulders hunch slightly, forget makeup and have your hair loosely styled.

Australian fitness trainer Mel V's #faketransformation photo has once again gone viral and she shared some tips in how to nail that perfect shot.

Opt for a more flattering swimsuit and aim for a size bigger, apply fake tan and hair extensions, stand further from the camera and hold your shoulders back.

“What’s my point? Don't be deceived by what you see in magazines & on Instagram.. You never see the dozens of other pics they took that wernt (sic) as flattering. Photoshop can make a pig look hotter then (sic) Beyonce,” she wrote.

Many of her followers have since tried to replicate her recipe with resounding results.
