From Ancient Egypt to Victoria's Secret: Women's ideal body types through the ages
From Botticelli to Baywatch babes, female beauty standards are changing every year.
And the folks over at Buzzfeed have created their own video with models portraying each 'type' of beautiful from the relevant eras.
In ancient Egypt, it was all about the extreme smokey eye and long hair, while Greeks went androgynous.
As time went on, Renaissance Europe featured full hips, bust and lips and Victorian England imposed tiny waists via corsets and long hair.
Post-Suffragette America saw the introduction of the flapper girl, when styles focused on boyish figures before Marilyn Monroe changed all that in the '50s. Curves were back in a big way.
It wasn't to last though as 'strong was the new skinny' back in the '80s thanks to Jane Fonda's workout videos and Kate Moss' heroin chic took over the runway in the 1990s.
These days, it's more about the Victoria' Secret Angels.
