Ashley Graham reveals her proudest career moment - sharing a picture of her cellulite on Instagram
Ashley Graham's meteoric rise to fame might be filled with groundbreaking accolades, but the finest moment of career is typically inspiring.
The supermodel and body activist (29) said her proudest moment has been sharing a picture of her cellulite on Instagram and the positive response she received from followers.
"When I took a photo of my cellulite and posted it on Instagram. I don't think that other women should be afraid of theirs as well," she said at the Time 100 gala on Tuesday night.
She hopes others will begin to show off their bodies in the same way, saying:" It's my body, it's my lumps and bumps. I'm into it, my husband doesn't care, and neither should the world."
In her Time magazine profile written by legendary supermodel Tyra Banks, she is praised for her encouraging "anyone who ever doubted themselves".
"Ashley's firsts will last in our minds forever, permanently imprinted in our skulls that all of our beauty matters," Banks writes.
"Yes, Ashley. You did that. And I am beyond proud, in admiration and in awe of your power and influence over so many people's self-worth.
"It is time for everyone to bow down to the fashion industry's—no, make that beauty's—new queen."
Her milestones include being the first plus-size model to feature on the cover of Sports Illustrated, both British and American Vogue and Maxim, s well as being the first plus-size model to walk for Michael Kors. And she has her eye on one of the biggest prizes in modelling - to become the first plus-size Victoria's Secret Angel.
