Curated ears are all the rage and the experts don't come more highly recommended than Maria Tash, pictured with Brown Thomas Fashion Director Shelly Corkery in store. A jeweller and professional body-piercer, Maria has been revolutionising the fine jewellery and piercing industry for more than two decades, and her serious client list runs from Rihanna and Gwyneth Paltrow to Kate Moss. Brown Thomas threw a chic brunch in her honour.
It was a week of designers and downpours, and one just didn't know how to dress going to the British Embassy for their annual summer party. Always based in the garden, those steely dark skies looked fearsome but I opted for a silk coat and colourful umbrella.

We were greeted by Robin Barnett, British ambassador to Ireland, who wore a pink tie to match the elegant gown of his charming partner, Agnieszka Kepke, who I'd last met at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby in the Curragh. The couple made for genial hosts, and guests chatted the night away sipping G&Ts and catching up with politicians, diplomats, retailers, lawyers and fashionistas.
I caught up with Anne O'Leary, CEO of Vodafone, at the Louise Kennedy AW19 show and later in the week. Anne, who also finds time to be the chairperson of the charity GOAL, was photographed wearing a stunning floor sweeping blue gown at the GOAL Ball. Anne, pictured (left) with Jemma Houlihan, thanked the charity's major donors, including Irish Aid, with whom the agency is partnering across 10 of its countries of operation.
Deputy secretary-general of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Brendan Rogers, and director general of Irish Aid, Ruairi de Burca, were in attendance.
