Win two tickets to the Dublin Horse Show plus a champagne lunch

There’s just something about the Dublin Horse Show. The event is undoubtedly one of the most exciting occasions of the summer. From style, to socialising, to international show jumping competitions, it’s the perfect day out.

This year is particularly special as it marks 100 years of women show jumping at the RDS. By the early 1920s women were competing against men in many equestrian events, often right up to Olympic level. This special centenary will be celebrated throughout Dublin Horse Show this year.

But the Show isn’t all about the horses. There will 300 shopping stands with everything from equine wear to footwear, food and drink stalls dotted around the grounds, roving circus-style entertainment and lots of family fun.

The theme of personal wellness is new to this year’s show. Visitors will get the chance to learn from experts in equine-assisted therapy and find out more about how we can all benefit from having animals in our lives.

On Friday, August 9, and Saturday, August 10, Síle Seoige will chat with experts Joe Slattery (equine-assisted psychotherapist), David Doyle (‘Horse Boy’ method of working with children with autism) and Niamh Hannan (psychologist specialising in teen and early adult mental health) at the HorsePlay Hub, in the RDS Concert Hall.

There will also be a wellness feature curated by BEO Wellness. Founders Aoibhín Garrihy and Sharon Connellan will welcome their fabulous team of Doireann Garrihy, Leanne Moore, Claire Grady, Jennifer Rock and Annmarie O’Connor to inspire, motivate and encourage self-care for both the body and mind. It’s a great addition to the already impressive Dundrum Town Centre Ladies’ Day, which boosts a fantastic €10,000 shopping voucher as its top prize. You won’t want to miss it!
