Kick-start the fun earlier at Electric Picnic with Bold mOTel

We all love hanging around the campsite at Electric Picnic, but recent research conducted by Orchard Thieves cider shows that we spend 12 hours a day waiting for it all to kick off in the venue.

So this year, Orchard Thieves are bringing The Bold mOTel to Electric Picnic, giving festivalgoers the perfect excuse to ditch the campsite and party from 1pm each day.

The research showed that festival goers spent an average of 12.5 hours in the campsite and 6 hours sleeping. That leaves only 5.5 hours in the main area where all the good stuff is happening.

With the weather forecast a decidedly mixed bag this year; it looks like Friday will have the best of the weather with clear, calm conditions, before a deluge sweeps in from the west on Saturday which will turn the campsite into a mud bath. Saturday night look clear enough however, but the rain will return on Sunday.

With many secret features and hidden opportunities to be bold, the mOTel’s pièce de résistance is the giant abandoned swimming pool-turned dancefloor. Festivalgoers will be invited to get in the pool and dance the day away under the supervision of the DJ Lifeguard Tower.

Those who ditch that campsite early, will be granted ‘private’ access, at The Bold mOTel.  The Reception and The Bedroom will open their doors on a first-come-first-serve basis, from 1pm to 3pm (Saturday and Sunday). Those who arrive early enough will be given their very own room keycard and a party time-slot. A fully stocked bar and a jam-packed programme of activity, with plenty of surprises along the way.
