Now in its seventh year with over 2,000 nominations received for both personal and corporate bloggers, The Blog Awards Ireland have become one of the biggest events in the blogging calendar. Entries are open to any blogger based on the island of Ireland.

This year’s event will take place in Tramline Dublin 2.

Bloggers can enter their blogs, or avid readers can nominate their favourite blog sites. Over 300 members of the public help with adjudication of the blogs.

Categories stretch across a number of disciplines including Arts & Culture, B2B, Agriculture (a new category), Blag Gaeilge, Fashion, Finance, Education, Gaming, Vlogs, Sport and Wedding. See the full list of categories here.

Each category is divided into two sub-categories - personal and business.

Last year’s Blog of the Year winners, GastroGays.com were combined personal and commercial winners. Their blog features recipes, product reviews, trends and restaurants. They also share their travel adventures, featuring handy guides to Irish and international destinations. Their love of the Eurovision Song Contents adds another dimension to their blog, meaning readers have year-round access to related content.
